Whether you prefer behind-the-scenes roles or front-and-center fun, we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities that suit every personality and schedule.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Whether you have an hour to spare or can commit to a long-term project, there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved. Below, you will find an overview of our volunteer opportunities for the 2025-26 school year.

Long-Term Commitments (One School Year)

Annual Fund Ambassador: Help secure support for the school’s largest fundraiser, ensuring tuition remains competitive.
Class Parent: Assist teachers with special events, activities, and field trips, and serve as a communication link with other families.
Parents Committee: Build community spirit, assist the Administration and Board of Trustees, and participate in school functions.
Parent Ambassador: Welcome and support newly admitted families, helping them integrate into the Far Hills community.

Short-Term Commitments (A Few Hours to One School Year)

Archiving: Preserve school history by sorting and cataloging memorabilia.
Book Fair: Assist with setting up, handling transactions, and helping parents and children find books.
Community Service: Help execute service projects, such as food and clothing drives.
Falcon Dads’ Club: Participate in social and support activities for Far Hills dads.
Falcon’s Find School Store and Swap Shop: Run the school store and manage the swap shop for gently used dress code items.
Far Hills Presents and Gala Committee: Help organize and run these significant school events.
Golf and Pickleball Classic Committee: Assist with the annual golf and pickleball outing to raise funds for the school.
Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day: Welcome visitors and assist with the day’s activities.
Guest Speaker: Share your expertise in your child’s classroom.
Marketing and Communications Volunteer: Use your skills in writing, photography, social media, or graphic design to support school marketing efforts.
Office/Clerical/Mailing Volunteer: Help with clerical tasks in the Main Office and Engagement and Philanthropy Office.
Performing Arts Volunteer: Support the Upper School Musical with costumes, makeup, sets, and backstage tasks.
Student Raffle: Secure and wrap prizes, and assist with raffle ticket distribution.
Teacher Appreciation: Plan and execute activities to show appreciation for the faculty and staff.
