Looking Back on a Successful Fall Athletics Season

Looking Back on a Successful Fall Athletics Season

This fall, Far Hills athletes brought determination, teamwork, and school spirit to every field, court, and course. From thrilling comebacks to personal bests, our Falcons proved that effort, heart, and unity define success both on and off the scoreboard.

The A Soccer team capped off a standout season with a strong run in the MSAC Tournament, showing tremendous growth and unity along the way. Led by a dedicated group of Grade 8 students, the team embodied leadership and sportsmanship, setting a high standard for the younger players who stepped up with confidence and enthusiasm. Together, they built a foundation that will carry the program into a bright future.

The B Soccer team demonstrated the same grit and passion, finishing the season with a 3–2–1 record. A thrilling 5–2 comeback win over Morristown Beard—after being down 2–0—was a season highlight and a testament to their perseverance. Every player contributed to the team’s success, with standout performances from Sam S. ’29, Ben S. ’27, Henry M. ’29, and Aaron D. ’28, while goalkeeper Blake A. ’28 anchored the defense with consistency and composure.

Our cross-country team closed out their season with an impressive showing at the Pumpkin Run, competing against 17 other schools on a challenging 1.7-mile course. The girls’ team earned 3rd place overall, and nearly every Falcon achieved their fastest pace of the season. Barrett M. ’28 led the way with a remarkable 2nd-place overall finish. Congratulations to all our runners for their hard work and dedication, and a special thank-you to our eighth graders—Aaron L. ’26, Fran G. ’26, and June B. ’26—for their leadership and commitment.

On the tennis courts, our players channeled focus and enthusiasm into every match and practice. Under the guidance of Coaches Sánchez and Robles, the team worked on rallies, volleys, and doubles strategies, all while building confidence and camaraderie. The players’ dedication and sportsmanship shone through each session, making for a season full of growth and positive energy.

The field hockey team battled its way to the MSAC Championship game, where it delivered an unforgettable performance. The matchup was intense from start to finish, with the score tied 0–0 through regulation and two overtime periods. It wasn’t until the shootout that the Falcons fell by just one point. Even though the final score didn’t go their way, the team was spectacular—dominating the field, displaying remarkable skill, and exemplifying outstanding sportsmanship and positivity throughout.

Across all teams, Far Hills athletes and coaches showcased the power of hard work, teamwork, and Falcon pride. The fall season was filled with memorable moments, lasting friendships, and inspiring accomplishments. Congratulations to all our student-athletes on an outstanding season—Go Falcons!
