Far Hills Hosts Successful Secondary School Fair for Families

Far Hills Country Day School recently welcomed families to its annual Secondary School Fair, held in the Performing Arts Center and Athletic Center. This signature event offered students and families a unique opportunity to connect with top day and boarding schools and begin envisioning the next steps in their educational journeys.

The evening began with a special panel discussion for Grade 8 students and Far Hills parents, where admissions experts shared valuable insights on navigating the secondary school application process. Following the panel, students and parents in Grades 6–8 enjoyed exclusive early access to the fair in the Athletic Center. They engaged directly with representatives from more than 60 esteemed day and boarding schools, gaining valuable first-hand perspectives. Families from outside the Far Hills community also attended, underscoring the fair's reputation as a premier resource for those exploring secondary school options.

"This event is about empowering families with knowledge and confidence," shared Ed Thompson, Director of Placement and Development Officer. "When our students and parents have the chance to speak directly with school representatives, ask thoughtful questions, and imagine what's next, they walk away inspired. Our goal is to make sure every child finds a secondary school where they will thrive — academically, socially, and personally."

The fair's diverse lineup of schools allowed families to gather comprehensive information and engage in meaningful conversations about the opportunities available to their children. For families of younger students, the event provided an invaluable head start, helping them understand the process and begin thinking about the future well in advance.
