Preschool Brunch Ceremony Celebrates Growth, Joy, and Milestones

On Tuesday, June 9, the Lower School Piazza was filled with laughter, music, and proud smiles as Far Hills Country Day School hosted its annual Preschool Brunch Ceremony. Families gathered picnic-style in the late morning to celebrate the remarkable growth and accomplishments of our youngest learners.

The ceremony began with a heartwarming performance by the preschool students, who delighted their families with songs and dances they had practiced. Their confidence, enthusiasm, and joyful energy brought smiles to everyone in attendance and showcased the spirit that makes the preschool program so special.

Following the performance, Pat Barry, Director of Lower School, shared touching words about each student before presenting them with their certificates. Her personalized remarks highlighted the unique qualities, growth, and accomplishments of every child, making the moment especially meaningful for families.

The Brunch Ceremony provided an opportunity for parents, grandparents, and loved ones to gather together and celebrate the many experiences that shaped this school year. From classroom discoveries and creative projects to friendships and everyday moments of joy, the morning reflected the strong sense of community that surrounds our youngest Falcons.

After the certificate presentations, families enjoyed a touching video featuring the preschool students sharing sweet messages for their Grade 8 buddies. The video captured the special bond between the youngest and oldest students at Far Hills, as preschoolers offered heartfelt congratulations and playful advice to the graduating eighth-graders as they prepare for secondary school.

"Today’s Preschool Brunch celebrated not only how much our students have grown this year, but also the relationships that make our community so special. As each child received their certificate and we reflected on their individual growth, we were reminded of the confidence, kindness, and joy they bring to our school each day. Watching them see the videos they recorded for our Grade 8 graduates was a particularly meaningful moment. The connection between our youngest learners and our soon-to-be graduates is a beautiful example of the caring community that surrounds every student at Far Hills."

The celebration concluded with families enjoying snacks together and taking photos with fun props around the Piazza. Parents and loved ones gathered to capture the milestone and celebrate the end of a wonderful preschool year.

The Preschool Brunch Ceremony was a beautiful reminder of the joy of early childhood, the strength of our Far Hills community, and the meaningful connections that help every student feel known, supported, and celebrated. We are so proud of our preschoolers and look forward to all that lies ahead for them.
