Kindergarteners Take Center Stage at This Year’s Wonder Project Expo
Far Hills’ kindergarteners transformed curiosity into adventure during the annual Kindergarten Wonder Project Expo. The event turned the Lower School into a bustling world of exploration, where each student proudly shared their own discoveries and passions with family, friends, and faculty.
This year’s Expo celebrated more than just research—it highlighted the imagination, creativity, and communication skills of our Kindergarteners. Each student selected a topic that sparked their curiosity, ranging from mysteries of space and technology to unusual animals and weather phenomena. With boundless enthusiasm, students dug into their questions, conducted research, and learned to communicate their findings in ways that were uniquely their own.
The journey began after spring break, as students brainstormed ideas and crafted thoughtful questions to guide their exploration. Along the way, they interviewed teachers, upper school students, and staff members, gathered facts, and transformed their learning into colorful posters, slide shows, multimedia models, and even recorded videos. Each project became a miniature adventure, reflecting the curiosity, creativity, and personality of its young researcher.
“Seeing our Kindergarteners light up as they share what they’ve learned is truly inspiring,” said Darcy Petrie, Kindergarten Teacher. “The Wonder Project is more than an academic exercise—it’s a celebration of curiosity, confidence, and the joy of discovery. Our students not only learn facts about the world around them, but also how to express ideas, ask questions, and share their voices.”
The Expo was filled with laughter, awe, and “aha!” moments as families and peers explored the wide range of projects. From clever illustrations to interactive demonstrations, each display reflected the hard work, imagination, and dedication of our youngest learners.
Congratulations to our Kindergarteners for their incredible curiosity, creativity, and confidence. This year’s Wonder Project Expo reminded us all that learning is an adventure—and that the world is full of wonders waiting to be explored.
