Kindergarten Families Dive Into Mathland Adventure

On April 24, Kindergarteners welcomed their families into the Piazza for a joyful morning of discovery at Kindergarten Mathland 2026—where problem-solving, creativity, and confidence took center stage. The space buzzed with excitement as students guided their grown-up guests through a series of interactive math stations, each designed to showcase the skills and strategies they’ve been building all year.

From Problem Solving Pond to Teenville, The Shape Shack, and The Dime Store, students explored a variety of hands-on games that brought key kindergarten math concepts to life. Along the way, they practiced skip counting, joining and separating, part-part-whole relationships, estimation, geometry, and counting coins—all while thinking critically and working collaboratively.

What made the experience especially meaningful was the opportunity for families to step into their child’s learning journey. Side by side, students and their guests solved challenges, tested strategies, and celebrated successes, turning each station into a shared moment of discovery and pride.

“Mathland is all about helping students see themselves as confident problem-solvers,” shared Kindergarten Teacher Darcy Petrie. “When they’re engaged, exploring, and having fun alongside their families, they begin to understand that math is something they can enjoy and feel proud of.”

Mathland served as a vibrant celebration of Kindergarten learning, highlighting not only the skills students have developed but also the joy that comes with applying them. By the end of the morning, our young Falcons had strengthened their confidence, deepened their understanding, and created lasting memories rooted in curiosity, connection, and a love of learning.
