Grade 1 Students Showcase Community Helpers at Far Hills
On Thursday, November 14, Far Hills Country Day School’s Grade 1 students took the podium to present their highly anticipated Community Helpers project. This special event welcomed classmates, parents, family members, and faculty as the students proudly shared their research essays on various community helpers within the Far Hills community.
The project, part of the social studies and writing curriculum allows students to explore the importance of different roles in the community. Each Grade 1 student selected a community helper from Far Hills—such as teachers, staff members, or administrators—and researched to understand their role and contributions. After completing their research, the students crafted essays, which they then presented in front of an enthusiastic audience.
This presentation not only celebrates the hard work of the students but also highlights the valuable roles that community members play in supporting our school. Through this project, the young learners gained a deeper appreciation for the many people who help keep our school running smoothly. Congratulations to our Grade 1 students for their thoughtful and engaging presentations!
