Our Grade 8 students recently put on a spellbinding performance of "Macbeth" for Far Hills Country Day School students and families.
The performance is the culmination of the Grade 8 study of a Shakespeare play. All Grade 8 students participate. They're required to memorize their lines, block their scenes, and find time to practice together outside of class.
2020 marked the second year of performing the play in the round, an echo of the original Globe Theatre in London.
Fun fact: Unlike the Globe, we don't allow audience members who don't like the performance to throw rotten tomatoes at the actors.
The great news is that none of our actors would have had tomatoes thrown at them, even if performed in London. They did an outstanding job. Bravo, Grade 8!
