Far Hills Honors Our Veterans

Far Hills Honors Our Veterans

For Veterans Day, one of our Kindergarten classes watched a video and talked about the day, what it means, and why we celebrate our Veterans. The class discussed the different military branches, and their teacher, Ms. Petrie shared with them that her daughter, Maren, is contracted in the Air Force (finishing her last year of ROTC: she'll be a drone pilot). After their discussion, the students completed some coloring pages for any Veterans they might know at home, and she told them if they made any extras, she would give them to Maren to share with her Air Force cadets and superiors.

As luck would have it, Maren came home unexpectedly, and she brought the pictures to her detachment sooner than expected. The below photos were shared with our students, and they were so excited to see their pictures were delivered, loved, and appreciated.
