Far Hills Donates to Local Cancer Center

This holiday season, Far Hills Country Day School has partnered with The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office for the second year in a row, collecting gift cards to donate to the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, located in Somerville, NJ.

The Steeplechase Cancer Center accepts $25 gift card donations from various stores (ShopRite, Target, Amazon, and Walmart) to help patients' families purchase food, clothes, and other necessities. The FH community came together to donate nearly 50 gift cards to the comprehensive cancer services center ahead of the holidays.

On Thursday, December 16, 2021, Far Hills Country Day School Head of School Georgia Zaiser and Far Hills Country Day School Events Coordinator Eileen Gross, alongside members of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, brought the gift cards to the Steeplechase Cancer Center.

“It has been such a pleasure to partner with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office again this year,” says Head of School Georgia Zaiser. “The Far Hills Country Day School community finds such joy and fulfillment when they come together to help make a difference with organizations that support the local communities and those in need. I thank our families, faculty, and staff members who helped those facing challenging times this year, relaying the spirit of giving.”
