Amy Burns Leads in Music Education Innovation

Lower School Music Teacher and Performing Arts Department Manager Amy Burns has had a busy and impactful year, presenting and participating in professional development opportunities that enhance both her teaching and the broader music education community.

In the summer of 2024, Amy:

  • Presented at the Elementary Music Summit on July 10, reaching over 4,000 music educators in this widely attended online event.
  • Attended and presented at the NJAIS Innovation Conference in August at Gill St. Bernard’s, sharing her expertise with fellow educators.
  • Earned Seesaw Certification, further integrating innovative technology into her teaching.
  • Renewed her ISTE Certified Educator status, demonstrating her commitment to leveraging technology in education.

Amy’s influence extends beyond Far Hills as she continues to present at major conferences nationwide. This fall, she presented at Massachusetts Music Tech Day (October) and Connecticut Music Tech Day (November). In February, she shared her expertise at both The National Music Tech Conference in Texas and the New Jersey Music Educators Association Conference in Atlantic City.
