The Mader Family Bringing the Joy of Hanukkah to Far Hills

On Friday, December 13, Lindsay Mader P'28, '29, '31, '34, along with her children—August "Auggie" '34, Samuel "Sammy" '31, and Henry '29—captivated our Lower School students with a dynamic and interactive presentation about Hanukkah.

Just a few days later, on Monday, December 16, Lindsay's sons, Leonard "Leo" '28 and Henry '29, during the Upper School Community Meeting to share their enthusiasm and knowledge about the holiday.

Both presentations provided a rich exploration of Hanukkah traditions, including the lighting of the menorah, the cultural significance of the dreidel game, and the cherished importance of family gatherings. Through these engaging discussions, students learned about the holiday's deeper themes of resilience, gratitude, and the celebration of light, gaining a deeper understanding of its cultural and historical significance.

A heartfelt thank you to the Mader family for bringing the spirit and joy of Hanukkah to our community!
