Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month With Empanadas!

Far Hills Country Day School students celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month in the most delicious way possible—by making and enjoying empanadas in their Spanish classes!

Throughout the week, Lower School and Grade 8 students not only got hands-on experience in preparing this beloved Hispanic dish but also explored the rich traditions and cultural significance behind it. As they crafted their empanadas, they learned about the broader contributions of Hispanic heritage and how food plays a central role in bringing people together.

The empanada-making event has become a beloved tradition at Far Hills, offering students a fun and flavorful way to engage with the diverse cultures celebrated during Hispanic Heritage Month. And, of course, it's always a hit with students who enjoy both the cooking and the eating!
