Betty Noling All-School Assembly

On February 14, Far Hills celebrates the Chinese New Year with a live Lion Dance assembly given by Dance China New York courtesy of the Young Audience Arts for Learning of NJ and Eastern PA. This introduction to Chinese culture uses a diverse and authentic selection of dance, costumes, music, artifacts, and historical information to immerse students in China's ancient and vibrant culture, The presentation allowed the students to appreciate the skill and technique used in the creation of traditional Chinese dance along with gaining a great appreciation for diverse traditions. As a special treat, many students were called up on the stage to learn Kung Fu moves and dance with ribbons!
