Torata Mishima '19

Tora, a sophomore at Newark Academy, was mentioned as one of New Jersey's most talented underclassmen and proved it this winter with a 16-4 record. Also, Tora has been named one of Newark Academy's Postseason Honoree AND placed on the NJ All-State First Team! Tora is one of three epee fencers in the state to receive the honor of being placed on the NJ All-State First Team! He won multiple bouts in six of the seven matches he fenced in, including a 3-0 showing against Christian Brothers. They mentioned that the sophomore would bring even more intrigue to the Minutemen next season. Congratulations, Tora! We are so proud of your hard work, dedication, and success! Go Minutemen!
