What does being involved with Far Hills mean to you as an Alumna and Current Parent? 

My twin sister, Julie, and I graduated from Far Hills Country Day with the last 9th-grade class (only 10 of us!) in 1992. Having grown up with two older sisters who also went to FHCDS and now being a parent of two current students, Kellan ‘25 and Lachlan ‘26, I have been surrounded by the friendship and community we found from my earliest days at Far Hills. Watching my boys thrive in the same supportive and loving environment that shaped my childhood brings me joy and a deep sense of gratitude for this shared experience.  

What does it mean to you, as an Alumna, to have your children attend Far Hills and continue your family’s legacy as a part of the Far Hills Community?

 I feel fortunate to be a part of the larger community that makes up FHCDS. So many wonderful people connected to Far Hills have been an essential part of my life, and having my children be a part of this legacy of family and friendship is an unexpected gift. 

What makes Far Hills special for you?

I have so many wonderful/funny memories of my childhood that happened at Far Hills. The days we spent outdoors on the Ropes Course, playing field hockey on beautiful fall days with Miss Muriel and Miss Fess (now Mrs. Hougland), Field Day, all the plays, the Gym Shows, the excitement of getting on the buses for Northern Experience, and always the friends and the teachers. Every aspect of every activity made my entire experience fun and memorable. 

Why do you give to the Far Hills Fund as an Alumna and Current Parent of Far Hills? 

I give to the Far Hills Fund because I am continually impressed by our dedicated teachers and staff. They find ways to inspire confidence and creativity in even the most reluctant students, encouraging them to push themselves, academically and personally, in a safe and supportive environment. I believe this focus on bringing out the best in each individual contributes to the spirit of camaraderie and personal excellence that characterizes FHCDS.
