Skylar Reale ’19–A Leader On & Off the Court at Gettysburg College

Far Hills Country Day School is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of alumni Skylar Reale ‘19, whose leadership, drive, and athletic excellence continue to shine well beyond her years on our campus. Today, Skylar is a standout member and captain of the Gettysburg College Women's Basketball Team, where she has quickly become known for her versatility, determination, and quiet yet powerful leadership style.

From Far Hills Foundations to Multi-Sport Success

Even at Far Hills, Skylar demonstrated the qualities that now define her collegiate career: resilience, teamwork, and a willingness to challenge herself. She carried these strengths to Morristown-Beard School, where she excelled as a three-sport athlete, competing in basketball, field hockey, and lacrosse. This multi-sport background laid the foundation for the well-rounded athleticism that has become her trademark.

Making Her Mark at Gettysburg

Skylar's collegiate journey began in 2023 when she joined the Gettysburg Bullets. She immediately impressed coaches with her work ethic and adaptability, earning meaningful minutes as a first-year player and delivering a breakout game with 13 points and 7 rebounds against Bryn Mawr.

By her sophomore season, Skylar had become one of the most reliable and impactful contributors on the roster. Appearing in all 31 games, she compiled:

• 95 rebounds
• 81 points
• 25 assists
• 19 steals
• 9 blocks

Her stat line reflects exactly the kind of player she is: smart, balanced, selfless, and consistently engaged on both offense and defense.

This season, Skylar has stepped confidently into a leadership role as team captain, guiding a young roster and leading by example. In early December, she delivered a career-high 18 points along with 9 rebounds, underscoring her growing presence as a scorer and playmaker.

Leadership Beyond Athletics

Skylar's commitment extends far beyond the hardwood. At Gettysburg, she is pursuing a major in Business, Organizations, and Management and is a member of Alpha Delta Pi, balancing academics, athletics, and community involvement with characteristic determination.

Skylar is a reminder of what makes Far Hills such a powerful launching pad for young people: the confidence to take on challenges, the courage to grow, and the character to lead. As she continues to excel at Gettysburg, both on and off the court, in the classroom, and within her campus community, we are proud to celebrate her achievements and cheer her on in the seasons ahead.
