From Far Hills to the Fairway: Arjun Caprihan ’21 Thrives at Penn

Far Hills alumni Arjun Caprihan ’21 continues to make his mark on the golf course, recently completing a successful first season with the University of Pennsylvania men's golf team.

This spring, Arjun capped off his freshman campaign by competing at the Ivy League Championship, held at the renowned Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey. He finished in 24th place individually and helped the Quakers secure a sixth-place team finish in the highly competitive three-day tournament.

Arjun's collegiate success builds on an impressive high school golf career. A four-year varsity letter winner and team captain, he helped Newark Academy capture four Essex County championships, two Non-Public A titles, and a state championship. Along the way, he earned numerous honors, including two all-state selections and four all-county and all-conference recognitions. His accomplishments also extended to the national stage, with victories and top finishes in prestigious American Junior Golf Association events and a berth in the 2023 U.S. Junior Championship.

Now enrolled in Penn's College of Arts and Sciences, Arjun has quickly become a valuable contributor to the Quakers' program. Reflecting on his college choice, he shared, “I chose Penn due to the constant support I received from Coach White in the recruiting process, making the school all the more enticing.”

We congratulate Arjun on an outstanding first year at Penn and look forward to following his continued success both in the classroom and on the course.
