From Falcon to Physical Therapist: The Journey of Julia DeSantis ’14
Since graduating from Far Hills Country Day School in 2014, Julia DeSantis ’14 attended Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child for high school, where I continued to grow both academically and personally. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Quinnipiac University in 2022, and this past May (2025), proudly completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy—also from Quinnipiac—marking an exciting milestone in her path toward a career in healthcare.
Julia credits Far Hills with laying the groundwork for her success. During her formative years on campus, she not only built a strong academic foundation but also developed the confidence to ask questions, advocate for herself, and embrace challenges. The school’s emphasis on character, leadership, and community helped shape her sense of responsibility and compassion—qualities that are essential in the field of physical therapy. From classroom discussions to collaborative projects and close relationships with teachers, Far Hills fostered Julia's love of learning and instilled the belief that she could pursue ambitious goals.
The supportive, close-knit environment at Far Hills continues to influence the way she connects with others today. Whether working with patients, collaborating with colleagues, or building new relationships, she draws upon the empathy, communication skills, and sense of community first nurtured during her years at Far Hills Country Day School.
In the coming months, Julia will be relocating to Boston, Massachusetts, as she prepares to launch her career as a physical therapist with a special interest in pediatrics. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys running, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
Far Hills remains a meaningful part of her story—a place where lifelong friendships began, confidence took root, and the foundation for a purposeful career was built.
