Carmello Cameron ’25 Takes His Musical Talents to Italy

For Far Hills alumni Carmello Cameron ’25, music has long been an important part of his story. During his years at Far Hills, Carmello shared his talents with our community through various performances, building his confidence as a musician and developing a passion for performing that has continued well beyond his time on campus.

In the summer of 2026, that musical journey took Carmello across the Atlantic to Cremona, Italy, where he studied the harp through the Philadelphia International Music Festival (PIMF) summer program.

Known for its centuries-old musical tradition and history of instrument-making, Cremona offered an ideal setting for Carmello to immerse himself in his craft. Throughout the program, he participated in intensive masterclasses, private lessons, and ensemble rehearsals led by accomplished faculty. He also had the opportunity to learn and perform alongside talented young musicians from around the world, experiencing new perspectives and approaches to music.

The program challenged Carmello to continue refining his technique, explore advanced harp repertoire, and grow as both a musician and performer. After countless hours of practice and study, his experience culminated in a performance that showcased the progress he had made throughout his time in Italy. Click here to watch Carmello’s performance and see the culmination of his summer experience in Cremona.

From playing the harp for the Far Hills community to studying and performing in one of the world’s most historic musical cities, Carmello’s journey reflects a passion for music that continues to grow. What began as an interest he pursued during his years at Far Hills has continued to open doors to new experiences, new challenges, and opportunities to develop his craft.

Now beginning his 10th-grade year at Gill St. Bernard’s School, Carmello continues to pursue his love of music and the harp. We are proud to see a Far Hills graduate carrying his interests forward, embracing new opportunities, and continuing to find his voice as a musician.

Congratulations, Carmello! We can’t wait to see where your musical journey takes you next.
