Alumni Spotlight: Meredith O'Neill '15

On November 11, Far Hills Country Day School proudly welcomed back alumni Meredith O'Neill ’15. Meredith’s visit to campus was driven by her impressive academic pursuits as she works on her thesis for the Master of Fine Arts program in Interior Architecture at George Washington University.

Meredith shared her journey since her days at Far Hills with warmth and gratitude. After graduating from Blair Academy in 2019 and Lafayette College in 2023 with a BA in Art History and English Literature, she is now channeling her passion for design and education into her graduate studies. Her thesis project, "Literary Playground," focuses on creating a dynamic space that fosters imagination and provides reading and learning resources for children in underserved communities. The inspiration for her work stems from her time at Far Hills, particularly her Kindergarten Piazza, which left a lasting impression on her as an innovative learning environment.

During her visit, Meredith explored campus spaces and met with members of the Far Hills community. Her conversation with Head of School Georgia Zaiser, touched on the school’s commitment to flexible and creative learning spaces, including the M.A.L.L. space. She also spoke to Upper School students during Community Meeting, reflecting on the enduring friendships she built at Far Hills that continue to enrich her life.

Meredith’s achievements and her dedication to making a positive impact through her work exemplify the values instilled in her at Far Hills. We are honored to see her carrying forward the spirit of creativity, collaboration, and learning she cultivated here. Thank you, Meredith, for reconnecting with us and inspiring the next generation of students!
