Alumni Journey: Zac Ambielli ’16

Alumni Journey: Zac Ambielli ’16

After graduating from Far Hills, Zac Ambielli ’16 was accepted into Delbarton, where he played football, lacrosse, and bowling for the Green Wave. Following four years at Delbarton, he continued his education and football career at Hobart College in upstate New York. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with a minor in Entrepreneurial Studies.

Because COVID-19 impacted his first season, Zac was eligible for a fifth year of football at Hobart, during which he completed his Master of Science in Management. That season, the team went undefeated in the Liberty League and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. Outside of athletics, Zac was an active member of Phi Sigma Kappa, serving as chapter president for one year.

He reflects on his time at Far Hills as an important part of his growth, saying it made the transition to Delbarton seamless and left him feeling confident and well-prepared both academically and athletically. Competing in Far Hills’ sports programs helped him develop the competitive mindset needed for one of the most challenging high school football leagues. Far Hills also encouraged him to step outside his comfort zone, ultimately helping him grow into the extroverted, confident communicator he is today. Public speaking, a skill cultivated from middle school onward, became one of his greatest strengths, preparing him for lifelong friendships and future professional opportunities.

Zac graduated with his master’s degree in May 2025 and is currently working as a Junior Industrial Broker at Newmark.
