Far Hills Alumni Reunite in NYC for Young Alumni Happy Hour
Far Hills returned to New York City on Thursday, April 9, for our second annual Young Alumni Happy Hour, bringing together 40 alumni from the Classes of 2006–2017 for an evening of connection, celebration, and plenty of storytelling in the West Village.
Joined by faculty and coaches, including Georgia Zaiser P'12, '16, Ed Thompson P'33, '35, Ron Sansone P'13, '15, Linda Houghland, and Kathy Iuliano PP'00, '02, '12, alumni quickly picked up where they left off. From “glory days” on the field to shared classroom memories, stories flowed easily (and often from very different perspectives!). A surprise appearance by former Director of Auxiliary Programs Brian Junger added to the energy of the night, complete with unforgettable tales, including a Grade 8 adventure trip run-in with a bear.
“The most amazing part was the number of alumni who showed up, even those who weren’t on the RSVP list,” shared Ron Sansone P'13, '15. “They just heard about it and wanted to come see their classmates. The Far Hills family and tradition run deep, creating friendships and relationships that will last a lifetime.”
The evening highlighted just how connected this community remains. Many alumni now live and work in New York City, staying close through friendships that have carried well beyond Far Hills, some as roommates, colleagues, and even future spouses. We were thrilled to celebrate several engagements and marriages, including alumni couples who found their way back to one another after their Far Hills years.
The night concluded with a heartfelt toast from Georgia Zaiser P'12, '16, who reflected on the joy of seeing so many alumni together again and the enduring strength of the Far Hills community.
We are incredibly proud of our alumni and all they continue to accomplish, and even more grateful for the lifelong connections that begin here.
