Far Hills Country Day School Kicks Off Year with All-School Preview Day

Far Hills Country Day School was buzzing with excitement on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, as students and families gathered for the annual All-School Preview Day. The special morning served as a joyful kickoff to the new school year, giving everyone the chance to reconnect with friends, meet teachers, and explore classrooms before the first official day.

For our youngest Lower School newcomers in Preschool through Grade 2, the highlight of the morning was discovering their team color—Team White or Team Green—through a special gift bag. This beloved tradition welcomed them into one of the school’s spirited teams, building anticipation for the many team challenges and celebrations to come. 

Lower School families enjoyed a relaxed open house-style visit between 9 and 10:30 a.m., with plenty of time to stop by classrooms, chat with teachers, and connect with classmates and fellow parents. The flexible format allowed families to settle in at their own pace, with teachers encouraging meaningful conversations while keeping the flow of the morning light and welcoming.

Meanwhile, Upper School students and families gathered for a Homeroom and Parent Information Session, which provided helpful guidance and resources for the year ahead. From there, students had the chance to set up lockers, find their way around the building, and meet teachers and classmates—all while sharing in the excitement of a brand-new school year.

From the cheerful smiles in the hallways to the buzz of conversations in classrooms, Preview Day captured what makes Far Hills special: a strong sense of community, joyful traditions, and a schoolwide spirit of discovery. With the first day of school just days later, families left campus feeling prepared, connected, and ready for another year of growth and adventure.
