Far Hills Celebrates Legacy Families at First Family Ties Breakfast

Far Hills Celebrates Legacy Families at First Family Ties Breakfast

On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Far Hills Country Day School welcomed alumni parents and grandparents of current students to campus for the inaugural Family Ties Breakfast. Held in the Learning Commons, this new tradition honored the lasting connections that span generations at Far Hills.

Legacy families gathered over a warm breakfast of coffee, fresh pastries, and conversation, sharing meaningful moments with their children and grandchildren. The atmosphere was filled with smiles and laughter as alumni reflected on their own experiences at Far Hills while watching the next generation thrive in the same classrooms and hallways. Students proudly showed their families their classrooms, lockers, and favorite spaces—creating a special bridge between the past and present.

The Family Ties Breakfast was more than just a meal—it was a heartfelt reminder of the enduring bonds that make the Far Hills community so special. Alumni parents and grandparents reminisced about favorite traditions, longtime friendships, and the lessons they carried forward, while students delighted in sharing their own Far Hills experiences.

“Legacy families make it possible for schools to thrive as long as we have,” shared Tom Evans, Director of Development. “When generations of students walk these same halls, they carry forward not just our traditions, but the values that define who we are as a community. This breakfast is more than a celebration — it’s a reminder that Far Hills is, and always will be, a place where roots run deep.”

By honoring alumni families, the event highlighted the deep sense of tradition, connection, and continuity that enriches the Far Hills experience. This first Family Ties Breakfast is just the beginning of what promises to grow into a treasured tradition, deepening our shared story as a school community. Far Hills is deeply grateful to the alumni parents and grandparents who joined us for this meaningful morning.
