An Evening of Connection at the Far Hills Parent Social
With the school year officially underway, parents at Far Hills Country Day School came together on Thursday, September 17, for one of the community's favorite annual traditions: the Parent Social. The evening offered a welcome opportunity to step away from the busy start-of-school routines and simply enjoy time together.
Each year, the Parent Social brings new and returning families together early in the fall, creating space for connections that extend beyond the classroom. Throughout the evening, parents caught up with familiar faces, met families across different grades, and welcomed those experiencing their first year at Far Hills.
For new parents, the event provided an opportunity to become better acquainted with the community and begin building relationships with fellow families. Returning parents picked up conversations after the summer and reconnected with friends, while connections formed naturally among families whose paths might not otherwise cross during the school day.
More than an evening out, the Parent Social reflects an important part of the Far Hills experience. The relationships built among families help create the strong sense of community that surrounds students throughout their time at the school. Whether through school events, traditions, volunteer opportunities, or everyday moments on campus, parents play an important role in making Far Hills feel connected and welcoming.
As conversations continued throughout the evening, there was plenty to look forward to—from upcoming school traditions and events to the many milestones the new year will bring. With another school year just beginning, the Parent Social was a fitting way to celebrate the people who help make the Far Hills community what it is.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Parent Social and helped make the evening a wonderful start to the 2026–27 school year. Here's to a year filled with many more opportunities to connect, celebrate, and come together as a community.
