Alumni and Parents of Alumni Reconnect at Spring Social
On the evening of Tuesday, May 5, alumni and parents of alumni returned to campus for an evening filled with reconnections, memories, and reflections at the Alumni & Parents of Alumni Spring Social. Approximately 60 guests attended the event, with a nearly even mix of alumni and former parents representing graduating classes from the 1960s through 2015. Hosted in the Learning Commons, the evening served as an opportunity to bring alumni families back to campus, reconnect across generations, and celebrate the lasting impact of the Far Hills experience.
Guests spent the evening mingling and reconnecting before hearing remarks from the new Board Chair and alumni Chapin Durling '94, P'26, '26, '29, '34, Head of School Georgia Zaiser P'12, '16, and alumni Cameron Weil '22.
Welcoming guests back to campus, Chapin reflected on his family’s longstanding connection to the school and the importance of strengthening alumni engagement. “My family’s connection to Far Hills spans over eight decades—from my father, who attended our school, to my time in the Class of 1994, and now as a parent of four current students,” Chapin shared. “This school has always held a special place in our lives.”
Georgia Zaiser spoke about the school’s future as it approaches its centennial celebration in 2029, emphasizing both the strength of the community and the school’s strategic vision for the years ahead. “We are focused not just on honoring our legacy, but on preparing this school for the next century,” Georgia said during her remarks.
The evening also featured remarks from Cameron Weil ’22, who reflected on her time at Far Hills and how the school helped prepare her for success at Morristown Beard School and, this fall, at Bucknell University.
Throughout the evening, guests explored campus through informal tours led by faculty and staff, revisiting familiar spaces while seeing the school through a new lens. Stops included the science classrooms, library, Learning Commons, and other areas across campus. Current and former faculty members also joined the celebration, giving alumni and former parents the opportunity to reconnect with the educators who shaped their Far Hills experience.
From stories shared in the Learning Commons to conversations carried through familiar hallways, the Spring Social was a meaningful reminder of the lifelong connections built within the Far Hills community and the enduring Falcon spirit that continues to bring generations together.
