A Rising Young Musician Takes the Statewide Stage
We’re proud to share some exciting news about a talented young musician in our community.
Ten-year-old drummer Antonio Brucchieri '29 has been named a finalist in Jersey Talent, a statewide competition featuring performers from across New Jersey, some more than twice his age. His selection as a finalist is an impressive accomplishment and a reflection of both his dedication and love for music.
Antonio began playing the drums at just six years old and has already developed a strong foundation in rhythm and technique. Inspired by classic rock legends like Led Zeppelin and Rush, he brings both energy and focus to his playing—qualities that shine through each time he sits down at the drum kit. He will now take the stage in New Brunswick alongside nine other finalists, performing in front of a live audience as part of the competition.

At Far Hills, we love seeing students explore their interests and grow in confidence through the arts, and Antonio’s journey is a wonderful example of that spirit in action.
“Antonio’s musicianship is truly exciting to watch,” shared Upper School music teacher Maedean Kramer. “At such a young age, he already demonstrates a strong sense of rhythmic precision and stick control, qualities that take many years to develop. We are incredibly proud of him and can’t wait to see where his talent takes him.”
Lower School music teacher Amy Burns echoed that pride, noting, “What stands out most is not just Antonio’s skill, but his joy in making music. That kind of enthusiasm is contagious, and it’s exactly what we hope to nurture in all of our young musicians as they grow and explore their interests.”
We wish Antonio the very best as he prepares for the final round and look forward to cheering him on.
