A Celebration of Music: Far Hills Performing Arts Showcase 2025
On Friday, December 5, 2025, the Performing Arts Center at Far Hills Country Day School came alive with music and celebration during the annual Performing Arts Showcase. Students from the Far Hills Modern Band, Jazz Band, Handbell Choir, and Grade 5 Instrumental Class performed for an enthusiastic audience of peers, faculty, families, and friends, creating a joyful atmosphere that highlighted the strength and spirit of the school community.
The evening’s program highlighted the wide range of artistic opportunities available at Far Hills. From polished classical selections to upbeat jazz arrangements—and the beautifully resonant tones of the Handbell Choir—each performance showcased not only the students’ growing technical skills but also their excitement for making music together. Their hard work, collaboration, and creativity were evident in every piece.
The showcase also emphasized the impact of Far Hills’ After-School Enrichment Programs. Many of the performers are nurtured through opportunities such as conservatory lessons, ensemble rehearsals, Handbell Choir practice, and instrumental studies—programs led by dedicated educators who provide both expert instruction and a supportive space for artistic growth.
These enriching experiences extend well beyond the rehearsal room. Students who participate in Far Hills Conservatory, Modern Band, Jazz Band, Handbell Choir, and other ensembles after school (and even before school!) build confidence, discipline, and collaborative skills that shine on stage. Their performances serve as a testament to how the arts elevate creativity, self-expression, and character across the school community.
