A Day of Impact: Community Comes Together for the Golf & Pickleball Classic
On Monday, April 27, the Far Hills community gathered once again at Roxiticus Golf Club for a day that went far beyond friendly competition. The annual Golf & Pickleball Classic continues to be a powerful reflection of what makes Far Hills so special—a community that shows up, gives back, and invests in the student experience in meaningful ways.
What sets this event apart is not just the time spent on the course or courts, but the shared purpose behind it all. From early morning pickleball matches to the afternoon tee-offs, every swing, serve, and cheer contributed to something bigger. Thanks to the incredible generosity of 39 sponsors and 100 golf and pickleball players, this year’s event raised more than $150,000, directly supporting the exceptional academic and extracurricular opportunities that define a Far Hills education.
“The Golf & Pickleball Classic truly brings our community to life,” shared Georgia Zaiser. “Seeing families, alumni, and friends come together with such enthusiasm in support of our students and teachers is incredibly meaningful. The impact of this day carries forward, helping to support what’s ahead.”
Throughout the day, participants enjoyed both spirited competition and meaningful connection. Whether reconnecting with familiar faces or welcoming new members into the fold, the event created space for relationships to grow alongside a shared commitment to the school’s mission.
Highlights from the day included:
- Team with the Lowest Score: Mike Schwartz, Martin Mullee, Kyle Jensen, and Rich Standing
- Closest to the Pin: Zack Surak and Ned Hoseth
- Longest Drive: Davis Gulbrandsen
- Young Alumni Foursome: Burton Fricke, Jesse Brenner, Sterling Shieh, Davis gulbrandsen were a great addition this year, bringing fresh energy to the course
As the day of golf and pickleball wrapped up, the community came together for the Spring Social, an evening that seamlessly carried the day’s energy into a celebration of connection and camaraderie. Parents, alumni, faculty, and friends gathered for cocktails before sitting down to dinner, where the day’s highlights were recognized during a lively awards ceremony. The night’s signature moment, the ever-popular 18th Green Putting Contest, once again brought out cheers, laughter, and a bit of friendly rivalry, closing the event on a high note.
As the day came to a close, one thing was clear: the success of the Golf & Pickleball Classic is not just measured in dollars raised, but in the strength of the community behind it. Each year, that support helps ensure that Far Hills students have access to enriching programs, dedicated teachers, and opportunities that inspire them to thrive.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all of our sponsors, players, and volunteers who made this day possible. Your generosity and enthusiasm continue to make a lasting difference.
