Sweethearts in Paris: A Joyful Evening at Far Hills

Sweethearts in Paris: A Joyful Evening at Far Hills

The PAC at Far Hills was filled with music, laughter, and a touch of Parisian magic on Saturday, February 7, as girls in Preschool through Grade 8 attended our sweetheart dance with their special adult guests.

From the moment families arrived, the evening felt celebratory and fun. Girls dressed up alongside their sweethearts, excited to spend time together while also enjoying the chance to dance and laugh with friends. A live DJ kept the dance floor moving, while elegant Paris-inspired décor and photo stations provided the perfect backdrop for capturing memories.

As the night unfolded, the room naturally filled with energy in all the right ways, girls dancing with their peers and also connecting across age groups, sharing smiles and inside jokes with younger and older students alike. Whether it was a reading buddy, a teammate they look up to, or simply another familiar Far Hills face, the evening reflected a true sense of community, while their sweethearts connected with one another nearby. As event organizer Kasey Schwartz P'29, '34 shared, “It was so special to see the girls arrive with their sweetheart and then confidently branch out, having fun with their friends, dancing, laughing, and truly enjoying the night.”

Families also enjoyed French-inspired refreshments and relaxed moments throughout the evening, creating a balance of excitement and connection. Fellow organizer Candice Polise P'33, '37, '37 reflected on the atmosphere, saying, “There was such a great feeling in the room. The girls were having an absolute blast together, and the adults really enjoyed the opportunity to socialize while watching them make those memories.”

The scale and spirit of the evening were beautifully captured in the group photo, which showcased a full PAC and a strong sense of community. Adding an extra layer of pride to the event, all photos were taken using professional equipment and thoughtfully edited by Far Hills 8th-grade student Eric Waxman, whose work helped preserve the joy and energy of the night.
