Grandparents Committee

Student grandparents

Grandparents are integral members of the Far Hills community. Whether they are volunteering in the library, organizing a “Back to School” Grandparent Coffee or serving as guest evaluators for student projects, their ongoing presence on our campus enriches our community in so many ways. Many activities are spearheaded by a very active Grandparent Steering Committee, which meets several times throughout the year. We appreciate their dedication, wisdom and generosity.

Forms may be returned at the Front Entrance of the school or by mail.

Grandparent News

With 36 grandparents in attendance, the Grandparent Coffee on September 24, 2018 was a big success. New and returning grandparents learned about plans for the upcoming school year, including Grandparent Reading Week for PreK–Grade 1 from November 12–16, 2018. Many also participated in a school tour and were able to see their grandchildren’s classrooms and the recently unveiled Brain Space—an interactive classroom outfitted with tools and technologies to enhance our Lower School students’ design thinking, robotics, coding and digital citizenship curriculum in preparation for Upper School. Student Government President Aakriti Caprihan also welcomed grandparents and shared the important roles her own grandparents and Far Hills have played in shaping who she is today.
