A co-educational private school for Preschool–Grade Eight

Dress Code

Far Hills is a community based on our five Pillars, the values of respect, responsibility, honesty, leadership and kindness. Our rules, including our dress code, emanate from and reinforce our Pillars. Our Dress Code exists for the following reasons:

  • To provide students with a sense of self-discipline and respect;
  • To teach students how to dress appropriately and responsibly for different occasions (e.g., for the class day, for visitors on Assembly days, for special events); and
  • To reinforce our sense of community and instill school pride.

The FH Dress Code has been modified due to COVID-19. Because students will not be changing for PE, we have modified the dress code for the 2020–21 school year. All students may wear standard uniform or spirit wear clothing tops with standard dress code bottoms. On the days students have PE class, they may wear active wear bottoms, such as athletic shorts, joggers, etc. Boy short styles or other short-inseam shorts are not appropriate. Students may also wear athletic shoes and sneakers during the school day. Light-up sneakers, however, are not included in our dress code. Visit our school store, Falcon’s Find (now on our app!), and shop Lands’ End (see below). Read the standard dress code policy here: Dress Code Policy.

Land's End is a preferred provider of approved dress code clothing. If you are a first-time FH shopper at Lands' End, set up an account. Our Preferred School Number is 900089095.
