The Far Hills Philharmonic and the Far Hills Jazz Band are back again this year! These free after school ensembles meet after school during the fall and spring trimesters. To read more about each ensemble, please read below. To sign up, please click here

The Far Hills Jazz Band is a jazz/rock ensemble that is open to student musicians in Grades 5–8. The Far Hills Jazz Band meets on Wednesdays, from 4:00–4:45 p.m. in the Music and Movement Room during the months of September–December, and then again from the end of March until the middle of May. There is no cost to participate in this ensemble. Students will perform at least two times per year in the Performing Arts Showcases. Their first meeting is on Wednesday, September 26. Those who play guitar, drums, piano, winds, bass, or those who sing, are welcome to join. This year's director is Matt Gordeuk. We are excited about having him back to lead the ensemble again this year. Please note: In order for the ensemble to work as a team and perform successfully, the musicians involved must be committed to attending every rehearsal and practicing their parts.

The Far Hills Philharmonic is a chamber ensemble that is open to student musicians in Grades 4–8. The Far Hills Philharmonic meets on Fridays, from 3:45-4:30 p.m. in the Music and Movement Room during the months of September–December, and then again from the end of March until the middle of May. There is no cost to participate in this ensemble. Students will perform at least two times a year in the Performing Arts Showcases. Their first meeting is on Friday, September 21. Those who play strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, or keyboards are welcome to join. Please note that in order for the ensemble to work as a team and perform successfully, the musicians involved must be committed to attending every rehearsal and practicing their parts.
