Enrichment classes will not be held when there is a 2 p.m. dismissal.

Extended Day and Enrichment do not take place on days when there is a 12 p.m. dismissal.

Mondays

Intro to Piano (6 spaces available)

Instructor: Kevin Lucas, Conservatory Teacher at FH

  • Grades: Preschool 4–Grade 1

Do you have a four-, five-, or six-year old year old student who is interested in piano? This class is a great place to start. Intro to Piano is geared for young children to learn the basics of piano in a group setting. Mr. Kevin Lucas, a Music Conservatory teacher at Far Hills, teaches this course using the Music for Little Mozarts curriculum. This curriculum is written specifically for young ages and provides a balance between the discipline necessary for playing the piano and the enjoyment one receives from the process of music making. Minute To Win It Challenge! (10 spaces available)

Instructor: Darcy Petri, Teacher at FH

  • Grades: K–2
  • Time: 3:45–4:45 p.m.

Beat the clock with physical and brain-teaser challenges using common classroom and household items.  Students will practice balance, large and fine motor skills, spatial relations, cause and effect, and more as they work in teams and small groups to tackle S.T.E.A.M.-based challenges. Choose your strategy carefully, encourage your teammates, and practice good sportsmanship!  

30-Minute Meals! (12 spaces available)

Rachel Ray? Before Rachel there was our very own Jill Tuazon and her amazing 30 minute meals! Why not treat your young chef to a complete hands-on cooking experience, and leave all the planning, prep and cleanup to us. After each class, your student will go home with the food we have prepared. At the end of the eight weeks, everyone will take home a recipe book. Do not miss out on this delicious experience! See you in the kitchen!

Book & Cook!

Instructor: Laila Ballon, Extended Day Assistant Supervisor @ FH

Join Mrs. Ballon to read favorite children’s books and create foods inspired by stories that will bring characters and themes to life in a memorable and "digestible" way! Participants engage in exciting, hands-on cooking activities. This literature based cooking enrichment will survey growing food, healthy eating, table manners and more. Our recipe preparation will be so much fun!

Ninja Training (16 spaces available)

Ninja Training is a unique and empowering approach to fitness which fuses the elements of gymnastics, obstacle training and freestyle movement into a fun, inspiring program for children! Each week, we encounter new and fun challenges as we channel children’s excitement and energy into a program designed to develop strength, agility, balance, acceleration, stealth, and the control of body movement. We incorporate music throughout, to add to the flow as we run, jump, hop, roll, swing and slide through each class!

The Checkmate Chess Club

Instructor: Peter McBride, Teacher at FH

Chess is a wonderful game that unlocks a child’s imagination and teaches them to think, plan and strategize. The Checkmate Chess Club is for beginner and intermediate players in Grades 2–5. Participants in this class will work on puzzles, learn new moves, and play games in a fun, stress-free environment.

Girls On The Run! (12 spaces available)

Instructor: Emily Seelaus, Teacher at FH

Girls On The Run is a running program for girls in grades 3–5. It is designed to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of healthy living and encourages self-respect. Girls will have fun training for eight weeks to prepare for a 5K. The emphasis is not on running, but on having FUN! The girls are encouraged to set goals and meet them by walking, running, skipping or a combination of all 3.

USA Karate & Fitness (Preschool 4–Grade 3)

NEW Taekwondo program! The topics and skills covered will be self defense, fitness, nunchuck training, board breaking, basic concepts and skills of taekwondo. Benefits include: listening skills, balance and coordination, awareness and self esteem. A graduation ceremony will be held on the last day of the eight-week program to celebrate your child’s achievement. 

TGA Golf (10 spaces available)

Instructor: TGA Golf Pro

TGA stands for Teach-Grow-Achieve. TGA makes it convenient and fun for your child to learn and play golf right on their school campus! The curriculums were specially designed by industry-leading golf professionals and education specialists to ensure that the lesson plans are age-appropriate and easy to understand and retain. Students will experience a mix of golf instruction, rules and etiquette lessons, educational components, character development lessons and physical activity as they advance through the five-level program. The screened and certified instructors have a passion for working with children and are trained to help your student-athlete develop a strong foundation of skills and knowledge as well as a passion for the sport. These concepts are the foundation of the TGA program. The golf coach will help your child develop their skills and passion for golf. TGA prides themselves on your child walking away from the program having learned life skills such as respect, honesty, perseverance and sportsmanship. Only 10 spaces available.

Fuel Your Fitness (14 spaces available)

Join Ms. Cirelli in this high energy class that combines a range of fitness activities. Weather will not stand in the way of this class—all activities can be done either outside (weather permitting) or indoors. Come and challenge yourself this spring and fuel your fitness. 

Let’s Fly UAV’s aka DRONES! (10 spaces available)

Instructor: Amy Baker, IT Systems/Support at FH

  • Grades: 3–5 
  • Time: 3:30–4:30 p.m.

Join Ms. Baker in this high flying technology class. Learn how to fly an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Students will also learn how to land and cruise through obstacle courses with these brand new drones. Weather will not stand in the way of this class—all activities can be done either outside (weather permitting) or indoors. Come and challenge yourself this fall and have a high-flying time!.

Kiddie Soccer

Instructor: Kiddie Soccer Coaches

  • Grades: Preschool 4 –Grade 1
  • Time: 3:30–4:30 p.m.

Kiddie Soccer is a fun-filled and age appropriate soccer program for Preschool 4–Grade 1 boys and girls. The sessions are based on various thematic games that are fun and non-competitive, yet instructional. The coaching staff is made up of men and women who coach and play soccer, but more importantly, are experienced in working with young children. All participants receive a Kiddie Soccer t-shirt after the first class, and a Kiddie Soccer participation medal when the class concludes.
