Largely driven by misguided objectives, including pushy parents and coaches who put winning above all else, many sports team as are no longer about athletic competence, character building and childhood fun. What can you do to help change that?
The latest research tells us that children who specialize in a particular sport too early are:
• at a higher risk of overuse injuries
• more prone to boredom with their sport
• more likely to quit
