We don’t just talk about our Pillars of respect, responsibility, leadership, kindness, and honesty. We teach them.

We also teach teamwork, creativity, ethics, resilience, curiosity, and time management.

These character traits and mission skills are nurtured and developed at every grade level at Far Hills Country Day School. Through Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), your child will assimilate the skills needed to be courageous and strong in today’s world.

With the guidance of our experienced teachers, your child will learn how to recognize how their emotions influence their behavior, identify their strengths, and build their self-confidence with a growth mindset.

SEL1

Your child will discover ways to regulate their emotions and behaviors in different situations. They will learn various tools to help them effectively manage stress and motivate themselves.

Your child will gain an understanding of empathy, allowing them to recognize how important it is to respect others.

Your child will learn the value of clear communication, listening, and cooperation, helping them be able to connect with others in healthy and rewarding ways.
