Transform Your Teaching: Mind, Brain, and Education Workshop
January 26
1–4 p.m.
In a time of much uncertainty for educators, one constant remains: the organ of learning is the brain. As you look ahead to the second half of the school year, join the Far Hills Country Day School faculty, Glenn Whitman, author and Director of the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning, and other special guests to explore how research can inform your teaching in 2021 and beyond. Situated at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and education, the field of Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE) affirms many practices we already do each day and provides a framework for future lesson planning.
Concurrent session topics include:
- MBE & The Arts
- Project/Assessments
- Choice and Motivation
- The Intersection of MBE & DEI
- Emotion & Cognition
