When Physical Education Teacher Linda Houghland watched the inspirational documentary “Mad Hot Ballroom” in 2005, she knew she needed to bring the program into the Physical Education curriculum at Far Hills. For almost 15 years now, Grades 3–5 spend a few weeks during the winter learning classic dances that include the Cha Cha, the Tango and the Salsa. Grade 2 is introduced to the world of dance with high energy line dances. 

This year, Upper School Spanish Teacher Señora Bernabeu, a professionally trained ballroom dancer and Spanish native, added authentic Spanish flavor to Grade 5’s salsa instruction.
