There are many ways to come together as a community at Far Hills and support our students and teachers. Read below to learn more about this year’s signature events.
Trick or Trot 5K & Cross Country Fun Run is scheduled for October 29, 2017. This event for FH families will bring our community together for a fun-filled morning. If you can walk, crawl, spin, roll or run, join us! The event will include both a competitive 5K and Fun Run obstacle course, followed by a carnival.
Book Fair is a three-day event held on campus from November 6–9, 2017, and draws focus to the importance of reading. Books may be purchased for the school library or individual classrooms. In addition, there is a large selection of books for children and adults of all ages to purchase.
Student Raffle and Features Auction are also held from November 6–9, 2017, in conjunction with The Book Fair. The Student Raffle is a time-honored tradition where students purchase raffle tickets for great prizes (i.e., "Head of School for the Day," or Xbox parties with a faculty member). The winners are chosen during a school-wide assembly. The Features Auction offers family- and adult-geared silent auction packages. Raffle tickets and silent auction bids are made at the Book Fair.
Evening of Performance will be held in our Performing Arts Center on February 24, 2018, and will feature a wonderful line-up of performers—including dueling pianos, a comedian, and a fabulous a capella group. This is an adult evening for the Far Hills community to enjoy.
Golf Outing will be held on May 14, 2018, and provides our families with the opportunity to gather for a day on the course. In addition to golf, this festive annual event includes dinner, an auction, raffle prizes, and friendly competition.
Gala is an important fundraising community event that happens every other year. It brings together families for an evening of cocktails, dinner, silent and live auctions, and raffle prizes. Our next Gala is scheduled for late Winter 2019.
